A short diary, sharing my 'just sent' Email to CNN, regarding
today's decision by CNN to retain Mr. Castellanos,
even though he's now working for the RNC.
I don't play a Journalist on TV, but even lowly ME knows that
once you're an 'Official' of the RNC, you DO NOT belong on
a 'News Station', especially one that claims to be 'playing it down the middle'.
Here's my Email....
Dear CNN,
I had JUST started to return to CNN viewing, following your wise (albeit tardy) move to show Mr. Dobbs the door.
However, with today's news, I've just done a '180'.
For the station that proclaims that they're,
"The Most Trusted Name in News"
to retain the political commentary of Mr. Alex Castellanos,
(even though he's accepting a major leadership role with the RNC - regardless of whether he's drawing a paycheck),
is truly astounding.
Come on, guys, this is Journalism 101!!
What are you thinking?
Just as I could not 'Trust' CNN, as long as they allowed Mr. Dobbs to proselytize his 'Birther' teachings,
I cannot watch ANY CNN, if you cannot see such an obvious conflict of interest as retaining Mr. Castellanos, given his new, Official, RNC position...
...for how would I know that you're failing to reveal other conflicts of interest ??
First, you allow Mr. Dobbs to repeatedly pitch his lie(s), and now this?
What about,
"The Most TRUSTED Name in News" do you guys NOT get ???
...to the DailyKos faithful.
PLEASE register your objections to CNN.COM
(via 'contacts', at the bottom of their page),
should you be similarly inclined.
One FAUX News is one too many.
We don't need CNN morphing into another one.
