There has been alot of to and fro in the diaries these past couple of days regarding feelings about the President and his handling of HRC. Many here considered it almost treasonous to speak against him while others thought they were doing what was asked of them.
Well now we're getting into a policy decision that won't rely on your feelings about strategy and tactics as much as it will rely on your trust in the President we have elected.
I just left a diary written by someone that wants to be in Congress. I applaud the fact that he would come here to make his views known. The problem that I have is that his views are overly critical of the President.
I might have agreed with him if he was complaining about the Presidents hands off approach to HRC, or even if he felt more attention needed to be paid to a Jobs program. But no. His criticism was over the Presidents decision to increase troops in Afghanistan.
It is ASININE for anyone in the Democratic Party to criticize the President for thoughtful measures that he may implement as Commander In Chief. This is not about his lackadaisical efforts for HRC or his hands off approach to the economy. In short, this is not about tactics, this is about his most important position in the job description.
If any of you voted for the President without considering that he would have to make the tough decisions as Commander In Chief then you shouldn't be voting at all.
I trust the President and respect the fact that he has given due diligence before making a decision. You have my support Mr. President.
