Thom Hartman, the internationally known Progressive radio host, ( http://thomhartman.com/ ) today had on his show today a caller who stated that he was a liberal and a democrat. The caller stated that he didn't believe that the democrats were really doing anything anymore and were not helping the people. Mr. Hartman, stated that part of the problem was that president Obama has people like Rahm Emmanuel, timothy geithner" and others who do not want the change that is needed surrounding him.

Mr. Hartman, went on to state that he had read president Obama's autobiography and felt that in his heart of hearts the president was a good man, it's just that he had immense pressure on him and he was looking at getting re-elected. So, if the president does what he should do as far a reform, the corporations will turn on him and destroy him politically by funding his enemies. Then, Mr. Hartman gave the example of how president Franklin Delano Roosevelt stated that the wealthy and the big companies hated him for the necessary changes he had effected but that he was proud of the fact they hated him.
All in all, even the more faithful democrats and progressives are losing hope in a president that is probably going to send over many tens of thousands of more soldiers to Afghanistan at the cost of a million dollars a year to support each soldier while stationed in that theater.
Meanwhile, as Thom Hartman was telling the truth on his radio show, Ed Schultz was doing the same on his television show over at MSNBC. Schultz reported that Congressman Ron Paul and Democrat Congressman Alan Grayson of Florida have banded together in supporting legislation that will allow the Federal Reserve System of banks http://en.wikipedia.org/... to be openly investigated and audited by the General Accounting Office.. Former New York governor Eliot Spitzer also strongly backed this move by the two congressman. Mr. Spitzer, stated that it was very important to conduct this investigation of the F.E.D. to find out what happened to all of the money it was entrusted with during the financial and banking crisis. Spitzer, went on to say para-phrasing: that the present treasury secretary Federal Reserve Board Chairman Ben Bernanke was very political and used that in his job. In addition Spitzer said the argument being advanced by Ben Bernanke that this investigation will hurt the country was a silly argument.
Congressman Ron Paul has been trying for years to audit the fed but has been viewed as strange and kind of "nutty" for doing so but now, it looks likes that Mr. Paul's luck has changed because support on Capitol hill is gathering for his wish to audit the fed. Go ge t'em Congressman Paul and Greyson, go getta 'em !
