So, today people are having a day of it slamming the president for trying to see if he can fix another of the long list of problems Bush left for him.
From the economy and two wars, unfinished Katrina and a host of other ignored and destructive things Bush did to this country and it's people during the last 8 years.
But, the worse is the one no one, not the public and certainly not a media who is more interested in Tiger Woods then in the fact they we were betrayed by Bush, Rummy and Cheney.
We heard about this before but, last week we got the official confirmation, thanks to Senator Kerry, that we were betrayed.
Bush and Rummy and Cheney decided to sell us out and Kerry not only gets ignored but, no one is even acknowledging this.
We had Bin Laden in our sights. We had him cornered. The souls of those people who died on Sept. 11th needed the revenge. Their families the closure.
Bin Laden wrote out his last Will and Testament in a cave a short way from where we were. Then word came not to go in. Orders from on high but without explanation. We all pretty much can figure out why. To capture Bin Laden would end this war and the people would not allow the administration their hearts desire. To go to war with Iraq. They never wanted to go to war but, Bin Laden provided the excuse they needed and the cover. The specter of a terrorist and death. they could really use that and keep the American People in fear. The people would allow the war. Congress would not oppose Bush with his sympathy 90 percent approval and a public afraid.
But, to catch Bin Laden this early would put a stop to it all. So, what to do but, let him walk away and remain the boogeyman to call up anytime the people started to question and the press lagged in their rah rah stories and the evoking of WWII.
It turns out it was all sham. The boogeyman got away because the Bushies let him on purpose. They betrayed us. They betrayed their country and the American people. Lives lost. Lives mangled. Why?
And when they got their way they left a minor amount of forces and turned to their attention to their beloved project. The neocon wet dream and let Afghanistan deteriorate. Maybe Karzai would have been a decent ruler if he had the help he needed in the beginning. Maybe he would not have become so corrupt if we worked with the country. The people then were more then ready and willing to pitch in and remake their country into something livable.
Now we a new President who is getting slammed from all sides. He is stuck with having to do something with this mess. He has decided to at least try and fix the mess. He can close the book on this chapter if he at least tries to fix it. Not just walk away. However, no one seems to see this. they only think of posturing to the cameras. The same ones who opined back then how wonderful the wars would be and how unpatriotic it is to doubt our president in war times. How low and weak and traitorous.
And through all of this no one is pointing out that this did not have to be. the war would have been over years ago. The threat would have been dealt with and our country avenged. Pakistan would not have become so unstable. Our billions and billions still in our treasury. And Obama would not be left having to deal with a terrible situation and getting the blame and being trashed for having to take a mop to Afghanistan.
Yet, no one is expressing anger about what Bush did. That what they are so angry with Obama about should be directed at Bush. Protest Bush. Protest our double standard media who ignores this.
No one is talking about what Bush did and his role in this situation.
