The first annual Netroots Nation Holiday Bazaar ends tonight at 10 p.m. Eastern. That means you have less than two hours to bid on some great handmade items from our community.
From the artistic to the delicious, the range of items donated by folks like you is truly inspiring. As Chairman of the Board of Directors of Netroots Nation, I'm constantly humbled by what this community can do -- and these offerings are exceptional. Take a quick browse at some of the items -- it's a great way to get some of your holiday shopping done (and it helps Netroots Nation continue its year-round programming and operations). Two birds, one stone!
Here are some of the items up for bid:
- Hand-Tied Lap Robe from Winglion -- instead of finding Waldo, look for pizza, flowers, fresh fruit, classic cars and more among the 130 patches. Or bid on a more conventional floral quilt in navy blue and rose fabrics or this beautiful tie-dyed quilt.
- How about a wine rack stained to your specifications and some 2008 Frickin' Zin made from grapes grown in rural Lake County, California near the base of Mt. Konocti using sustainable practices.
- Or this poignant photo of Ted and Caroline Kennedy at the 2008 DNC in Denver, one year to the day before he lost his fight with cancer.
- Don't forget about these stunning Swarovski crystal earrings for someone special in vintage rose and sage colors. If vintage isn't her style, try a pair in traditional tones or with a pair with the crystals are arranged to create an Aurora Borealis effect.
- Make mcjoan, our Holiday Bazaar Co-Chair, proud and bid on her customized wool Christmas stocking personalized for you.
- Need toys for the stocking? Try the chicks, owls, donkey or piglet Amigurumi (Japanese for "knitted stuffed toys") or the wooden puzzle hand crafted by Meteor Blades.
- Remember Braddock Mayor John Fetterman? Bid on this photo and have a reminder of last summer's Netroots Nation in Pittsburgh.
