Rassmussen's latest poll of CO-Sen has Republican Jane Norton starting off strong in an election race that is still a lifetime away. She leads in match-ups against Sen. Bennet and former State Speaker Andrew Romanoff.
At this early date, the snapshot does not tell us much about what November 2010 will look like, but the poll does reveal an interesting point about this moment.
Appointed Senator Michael Bennet (D) has unfavorables that make him the least popular candidate in the race. He lags Democrat Andrew Romanoff, and all of the Republicans.
Norton is at +17. Romanoff at +9. Bennet at -7.
Incumbents have to cast votes. That will be a two edged sword for Bennet this year.
