Dear President Obama
We’re glad that you are in Copenhagen for the Climate Summit, a pressing problem that needs full attention. We’re also please that you awarded yourself a B+ for your results to date, which include a 30% drop in approval rating.
By this measure, President Bush’s lowest score was about a B, for an approval rate of 18%, and VP Cheney at worst a B-.
It may be best, if you stay in Copenhagen for another three years, and enjoy the Tivoli Gardens, the Danish Heath Care System, and the ambiance of one of the happiest countries in the world. When you return you might then be focused enough to actually make a positive difference.
Your reelection? Probably not going to happen. However, we suggest you put the same amount of energy into your reelection that you’ve put into leading, to build consensus and ask the republicans to vote for you, because we doubt you’ll get many democratic votes, as they will probably have their enthusiasm set to the same grade you awarded yourself, B+, you know, the grade associated with a 30% drop in numbers.
Oh, when you analyze the abysmal result of your performance, please reflect on your campaign "Yes, we can," and your performance, ‘And, we won’t".
Please stay in Copenhagen. By staying there you will do nothing, and we will expect nothing, which is an improvement on your current efforts and results, "Change you can believe in" and the result of diabolical nastyness (health care reform = mandates to pay rent for breathing) of this "change".
Please read The Prince, especially the chapter on change, and note that the advice given does not really fit your style, unless I’m mistaken, and there is some evil, dark, (I was going to write black, but that could be misconstrued) twisted meaning to the phrase "Change you can believe in".
