Pardon this short rant, but after seeing weeks of daily stories all starting with some expression of failure on the part of the Obama Administration, I have had it.
No wonder the polls show the President down in 50 % range with headlines and statements like this from the web New York Times!

Climate Deal Announced, but Falls Short of Expectations

COPENHAGEN — Leaders here concluded a climate change deal on Friday that the Obama administration called "meaningful" but that falls short of even the modest expectations for the summit meeting here.

When this is what is put out in the so called respectable press, and the 99+ attack stuff is on Fox and Fools and in Murdoch’s print propaganda sheets, there is no way President has a chance at a fair shake.
The public mood is shaped by this slanted trash Obama stuff and the bulk of the D’s are so mired in quibbling as to whether Kos or Matthews or Olbermann are more correct and more "pure" to even respond, let alone point out that when the village idiots and evil representative of the oil industry, Bush and Cheney, were in charge of the country no recognition of any climate problems even were accepted by the official US government position.
A year ago the good guys were happy to be optimistic and praise the incoming Obama administration, but now, in December 2009, the fashion is to trash everything, no matter how much better it is than anything the country has done to date.
Millions were in DC and millions more around the country were amazed, thrilled, inspired, proud, motivated and empowered---and that was just the start---as we welcomed a new administration and a new era.
How soon we forget. We forget the disaster of the 8 years of Republican domination and stupidity and the feeling of helplessness and hopelessness we and more importantly, for those of us over 60, our children had about the country until the election of President Obama.
I am disgusted with the constant negativity.
