What will the Refugs do to righten their sinking ship in the 2010 midterms? The world wonders.
I liked this week's issue of TIME Magazine, the one with Ben Bernanke on the cover as TIME's PERSON OF THE YEAR. TIME lists the "Letters of the Year" in one section. The following letter really stands out among others:
Running a cover on Glenn Beck is the equivalent of giving a terrorist publicity for setting off a bomb. Beck has made himself rich off people's fears without making the slightest constructive comment on national issues. He's a TV evangelist who makes altar calls and then drives away in his Cadillac. Alan Moen, Entiat, Washington, September 28, 2009
So what's it gonna be next fall when the mid-terms roll around? How are the Thugs going to brand themselves??? I've gotten myself in hot water with a number of my right-leaning friends simply by asking this question: Other than saying NO to every single program or piece of legislation proposed by President Obama, what do you think the GOP brings to the table? The response is a litany of FAUX NEWS induced garbage.
If the prognosticators are on the money, the Democrats could be in for significant losses in both houses. This would be a shame. It would give credence to the lack of good faith exhibited by the Republicans, and probably go back in time to 2000 and 2004.
How can this country be so pathetically stupid?
