Obama has really become an ass for trying to sell this bullshit as reform. It is expansion, but in no way is this plan reform.
I mean, at least he could say well, we didnt get everything we wanted, or that I wanted, but at the end of the day, this has a lot of good stuff in it, and we can build on it.
No he is saying that this bill is as signifigant as Medicare or SS.
Here are parts of his interview on NPR today.
'WE DID REALLY WELL': In an Oval Office interview with NPR, President Barack Obama says the health care debate is nearing an end with success. He called opponents "politically driven and ideologically driven," and said liberals who griped that there wasn't a public option in the Senate bill don't see the bigger picture:
Actually we do see the bigger picture, we all know that eventually we will have to come back to fix this mess when premiums all still continue going up with no real way to have competiton to keep them down.
Also these golden nuggets!
Obama said he hopes to sign a bill that uses funding plans from the House and the Senate, including taxes on high-end insurance plans, called "Cadillac" plans, and on rich people in general.
"Taxing Cadillac plans that don’t make people healthier, but just take money out of their pockets because they’re paying more for insurance than they need to — that’s actually a good idea, and that helps bend the cost curve," he said.
I wonder if Candidate Obama would have ever said that to the union members when he needed thier support and muscle in the election. I think not.
What a sellout to big business. This interview sheds light on a lot of stuff that is currently happening in congress.
Continued- More from the sellout liar.
"This notion, I know amongst some on the left, that somehow this bill is not everything that it should be, that we still need a single-payer plan, etcetera, etcetera — I think just ignores the real human reality that this will help millions of people and end up being the most significant piece of domestic legislation at least since Medicare, and maybe since Social Security."
Well dummy, if you would have even tried to have the pubic plan or the buy in to Medicare, it would have helped Millions more, saved more, and actually REALLY being the most significant piece of domestic legislation at least since Medicare, and maybe since Social Security."
I had help out hope that he might bring a separate bill with a public option or medicare buy in back next year for reconsiliation. Now i dont think he thinks that he even needs too.
Here is that interview from NPR on Politico. I believe that him and Rahm thinks we are fools.

He is not who I thought he was.
Deep down, this man is a big believer in corporate greed and power, and not so much for the little guy. Everything he wants to do is watered down nonsense. If he had a guy like Dylan Ratigan on his staff, he would be a lot better off.
These so called financial reforms he wants have loopholes in them that you could drive a truck through. They all benifit one way, towards big business.
I thought he might try to win the base back with really tough fincial reforms that close all of these loops holes for dervitives. But now I think no way.
Geitner and him and rahm have been making these secret deals that will devastate the base. They think they are so smart and that we are just going to come running home to them in 2010 and 2012. I dont think it will be that easy.
When you throw Gays, Unions, and liberals under the bus, and reward big corporate interests and banks over people, I dont see how in hell they can get these groups to get out to campaign for him again.
He will be a one term president in my mind.
Update****
I'm not saying I wont support it because as much as I hate the way Obama didnt fight for the bill AT ALL, I do trust people like Bernie sanders, Jay Rockefeller, and Sherrod Brown. They are real fighters, and if they support it, I will be behind them. I will also donate money to them, and those who fought hard for real reform. But I wont donate, or go door to door again for Obama. Its a shame he is taking us down this path when it could have been so much more if he were a better leader.
All I'm saying is the bold face lie that this is the best thing ever makes me nauceous! Its an insult to our intelligence!
Update 2
Man all you guys are brutal!!!
And to one of your own...Geez..retract the nails please!
I didnt know all of you loved this plan so much, and basically liked being called insignifigant by the Pres.
I still think its about as little as we could have got with the house, the senate, and a popular new President.
