A chilly good morning to you all from the high deserts of northeast New Mexico. 13 degrees this morning. The shop is open, there's fierce hot coffee and a warm wood fire in the ancient Sears, Roebuck stove, so grab a chair, or one of those paint buckets over in the corner and knees-up with us.
If you are new to these Saturday morning gatherings, we talk home repair and improvement with emphasis on doing things yourself. An ad hoc cadre of construction professionals and gifted amateurs usually appears and usually has advice and encouragement for each other and for those who show up with a problem. We often can help you avoid un-necessary expensive repair bills if we see ways you can solve things yourself.
Or maybe we may have useful insight into that home improvement project you are thinking about.
I don't have an agenda this week, nor a marvelously literate and informative essay describing my latest project.
I haven't heard from Code Talker, who has been shouldering the burden of keeping SMHRB organized; he had some kind of medical procedure last week and I hope he'll show up to tell us how it went.
If anyone has a topic they'd like to enlarge upon by hosting one of these morning sessions, feel free to let me or CT know and we'll fit you in. Otherwise, tell us what you're working on, whether you want to be or not.
