Last April, I ran the Democratic Nomination Bracket Competition which pitted 64 Democrats in six-rounds of one-on-one matchups until a winner was determined. Last year, the champion was General Wesley Clark.
Now, I'm conducting this competition once again, except with a few changes. The tentative schedule for the competition is February 1 - February 28.

The first change I made was to increase the field from 64 candidates to 128 candidates. However, to save time and to keep the competition at six rounds, the first round will be matchups between 4 different candidates.
Also, matchups were, for the most part, random (what I considered to be the top 32 candidates were placed in separate first round games, and the top 16 candidates were placed in one of each of the 16 regions. All other 96 candidates were placed randomly).
After the 2nd round, the remaining 16 candidates will be placed in matchups randomly for the 3rd round. The same will be true after the quarterfinals, when the semifinal matchups will be determined randomly.
This will hopefully do two things. First, hopefully it will help cut down some on strategic voting against other candidates since voters won't know who a candidate will beyond the next round (if they even know that). Second, hopefully the uncertainty will add a bit of excitement.
Tentative first round matchups and schedule are posted at the website
Of course, since there is a month and a half until the planned start, there is still time to hear suggestions, such as an obvious candidate that I may have missed, something that is incorrect, or format suggestions.
