I just found out that BlackWaterDog left our site last week. This pie fight is eating up a lot of people. I'm exhausted over this "Anticorporatist" versus "Obamabot" riff in the netroots. When does it end? Thereisnospoons has some good ideas on the topic, but lets talk 2010. What do we have going on in 2010 to move forward together rather than tear each other apart? (Not a judgment I've thrown my fair share of pie)
What can we get done, and what should we push for?
Nationally
- Campaign Finance + Lobbying Reform
- Wall Street Reform: When the storm is over, we fix the ship
- Antitrust Action: Improve the DOJ so we can actually go after monopolists. Maybe go after a few? (hint the top 7 richest Americans xWarren Buffett)
- Want a Public Option? Get five more D Senators in 2010, or get three and by doing so scare two more. (Hurt the corporate media by disproving their meme that Dems are toast in '10?)
- Jobs bill
Locally
- Decriminalize Cannabis in California
I'm sure there a bunch of places where we can all get together for some Progress in the new year.
BlackWaterDog come home there is room for all of us here.

I'm not going anywhere.
UPDATE: I was gone the week BWD left so I know nothing about the reasons and manner of the departure. Apologies for not including that part of the story. My main point remains, what can we work on together? What can this President and Congress do to calm your anger or enact your priorities in 2010?
UPDATE2: Rec list thanks everyone, I need some shut eye or I'd hang out and chat it up some more. Despite my differences with recent efforts by diarists at FDL I think they did a fantastic job pushing for the public option this year. They put it on the map and we almost got it. I know that's not much consolation but it's all I've got to give. Their activism was superb in spring and summer, and we need to recreate that type of effort next year towards our goals.
