At the risk of sounding like a broken record, I'd like somebody in the Democratic Party or the media to start talking about how many "events" have been declared as a terrorist event against the U.S. or allies in the Iraq War in 2003 by the Bush Administration. Here's what I've identified so far:
JORDAN EMBASSY IN IRAQ BOMBED
Lt. Gen. Ricardo Sanchez, commander of U.S. ground forces in Iraq, called the attack on the Jordanian Embassy a "terrorist attack"
PBS Newshour
Baghdad coalition hotel base bombed
The US State Department condemned "this vicious act of terrorism" and vowed to co-operate with Iraqis to bring those responsible to justice.
BBC News
Hotel rocket strike
"This terrorist act will not deter us from completing our mission, which is to help the Iraqi people free themselves from the type of criminals who did this and to protect the American people from this kind of terrorism," Wolfowitz told reporters.
CNN
U.N. blast in Iraq
Declaring that "terrorists are testing our will," an angry President Bush on Tuesday condemned the fatal truck bombing of U.N. headquarters in Baghdad...
CNN
August 29 bombing at the Imam Ali mosque
Statement by President: This vicious act of terrorism was aimed at Ayatollah Mohammed Baqir al-Hakim, at one of Shi'a Islam's holiest sites, and at the hopes of the people of Iraq for freedom, peace, and reconciliation.
US Department of State
International Red Cross headquarters, and three police stations
The United States will not be intimidated by the terrorist attacks in Baghdad against the Al Rasheed Hotel, the International Red Cross headquarters, and three police stations that killed dozens of people, the Bush administration emphasized October 27.
US Department of State
Those are specifics, there's more I'm sure, and it would be helpful to detail them. Please post any that you come across, thanks. I'm trying to compile a list of events that have officially been declared through some member of the Bush Administration as terrorism relating to the Iraq War.
