UPDATE
Jim Tedisco just issued a Press Release:
"Jim’s comments were in response to a question about what voters are asking him about on the campaign trail. So far, the concerns he has been hearing from voters on the campaign trail have been local in nature, such as his support for lower property taxes, fiscal responsibility, and his opponent’s appalling support for the AIG bonus loophole. That was his point and any effort to characterize it otherwise is a distortion of the facts."
That didn't take long.

Poor Jim Tedisco just can't keep from stepping in it and then shoving his foot in his mouth.
The Huffington Post is reporting on Tedisco's interview with the Oneonta Daily Star Thursday.
"Rush Limbaugh is meaningless to me," Tedisco told the editorial board of The Daily Star on Thursday. "The only constituency I'm worried about are the residents of the 20th Congressional District."
Tedisco has been billed as the great conservative hope for the "come back" of the Republican Party.
I wonder what the Limbaugh Republicans pinning their hopes on Tedisco think of these positions of his from the Daily Star interview:
Believes marriage is a union of "one man and one woman. I'm for traditional marriage." He supports civil unions for gay couples. "I think they deserve the same rights as everyone else."
And I'm not sure the Rushlican Party agrees with this either:
Favors stem-cell research, but opposes embryonic stem-cell research.
And another Rushlican favorite:
Favors universal health care.
We'll see how long Jim Tedisco's independent streak lasts. The Huffington Post reminds us:
Other GOP politicians who have belittled Limbaugh recently, including Republican National Committee chairman Michael Steele, rushed back to reverse their statements and praise Rush at something approaching warp speed.
Curious about it themselves they also say:
The Huffington Post contacted Tedisco's campaign to ask for him to expand on his thoughts on Limbaugh, but hasn't heard back.
Those are some carefully selected quotes so lest you think Little Jimmy
Disco is a great guy or something let's recall that he is a full fledged member of the Party of "NO!"
If you thought that was hilarious... you weren't the only one!

UPDATE:
Jim Tedisco was too scared to attend a televised debate with Scott Murphy and the Libertarian candidate Eric Sundwall. Given his fear of them and the people of the 20th district I find it hard to believe he'll hold his ground against the Mighty Rush.
But you can check out more about Scott Murphy by watching the full debate video at The Albany Project.
