Is this really the best use of the Republican Party's dollars? Anyone else getting these, and where?
Yesterday evening my home phone rang. Picking it up I heard a short taped message that basically said that there were going to be tea parties held all over America as a way of giving people a means of communicating their feelings about the policies of the Federal Government.
The taped message was couched in very neutral terms, did not identify a party affiliation, did not say anything about protest, just communication. The tape cut off very quickly, it wasn't especially professional sounding, although in such a solidly blue state as NY we don't get so many of these robocalls during election season for me to be a connoisseur of production values for this art form.
Now why would anyone think that phoning a Manhattan number to publicise these tea parties was a good investment of money?
The more I see the Republican brain trust in action, the happier I am with life, although I know that if I were a bit more responsible and mature about it I'd want them to be a more effective opposition because that's the basis of a strong democracy blah blah blah...
So who else is getting these? Where are you?
