I wonder what the people who donated to Norm Coleman's unsuccessful Senate campaign think about this:
Former Minnesota Sen. Norm Coleman is asking the Federal Election Commission for permission to use his campaign funds to pay for legal bills in two lawsuits that target a top donor.
Coleman's legal team told the FEC it has been forced to respond to allegations in the lawsuits, monitor litigation and deal with media inquiries.
The lawsuits were filed in Minnesota and Delaware. They allege that Coleman friend and donor Nasser Kazeminy funneled $75,000 in payments to Coleman through a business that employed Coleman's wife, Laurie.
About those media inquiries, apparently they charge an arm and a leg to ignore them.
But it should be noted that:
Coleman continues to deny wrongdoing.
Of course he also continues to claim he beat Al Franken.
