Money isn't everything at Fox "News", they reject a television ad for The Nation. I guess only balance they need is "Democratic" Zell Miller versus never ending list of Republicans talking heads.
For Fox, Money Isn't Everything
You'd think Rupert Murdoch would laugh all the way to the bank if the liberal magazine The Nation cut a check to conservative Fox News. But the "fair and balanced" ad staff at FNC have rejected a TV spot that The Nation says Bravo, CNN, MSNBC, and TBS/TNT have accepted.
The ad goes like this (watch it here):
It peels away layers of obfuscation. Shreds lies. Slices through White House fog. And you can try it for four weeks absolutely free. It's The Nation - America's hottest, most widely read journal of opinion. Nobody owns The Nation - not Time Warner, not Murdoch. So there's no corporate slant, no White House spin, just the straight dope.
Click on the link to see the TV AD Fox News does not want you to see. The Nation is asking for donation to put up the ad at other television stations.
If you believe, as we do, that The Nation can play an essential role in this highly political moment, exposing the truth behind the rhetoric and framing the debate in terms of progressive values, please help us get this commercial on the air.
Any small donation helps, for instance:
$200 buys one overnight spot on MSNBC
$250 buys one overnight spot on CNN Headline News
$3,700 buys one primetime spot on MSNBC
$8,400 buys a national primetime spot on CNN
$30,745 buys a national spot on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart
TV spots are priced based on how many thousands of viewers are watching at any given time - so basically, every $5 donated will allow us to show the commercial to approximately 1,000 people. Who knows - perhaps together we can change some minds this election year!
The Nation accepted Fox "News" ad in there magazine, why is Fox "News" and conservative movement so chicken to hear liberal voices in the debate.
I guess they are scared to debate the issues, they rather just demagogue there opponents.
