Few of us sane people can really imagine what goes on inside the heads of wingnuts. As someone who spends some time tracking the wingnut web, I've struggled to help edify my fellow Kossacks as best I can — but mere words can only do so much. Now I have a new approach.
I have produced a startingly-realistic simulation of the world in which the wingnuts live — what they experience as reality. This may be frightening to some, but I feel that in the interests of science, it must be made public.
The Republicans are losing ground — fast. Some feel that the party should abandon its more insane positions. Not the wingnuts. They believe that if the Republicans become more insane, they will become stronger. How? Well, liberals and moderates will eventually see the value in conservative ideas and switch back.
That's difficult to imagine, so I've created a computer-generated visualization of just how that might play out in the mind of a wingnut.
