For me this is kind of a strange concept. Shouldn't we pray everyday? Or at least some self-reflection.
I am not against god. Not even sure if I do or don't believe in one. But I do look for meaning in life. And reading the Bible and Koren (and other Holy books) they got a lot of nice things to say. Some not so nice, but in general pretty nice.
Below the fold is a short, very short Buddhist Prayer For Peace that brings me much hope and content in my times of need when I read it. Read it a few times and think about it. I hope it might brighten your day for just a second or so.
A Buddhist Prayer For Peace
May all beings everywhere plagued with sufferings of body and mind quickly be freed from their illnesses.
May those frightened cease to be afraid, and may those bound be free.
May the powerless find power, and may people think of befriending one another.
May those who find themselves in trackless, fearful wilderness—the children, the aged, the unprotected—be guarded by beneficent celestial, and may they swiftly attain Buddhahood.
Kind of speaks for itself doesn't it .....
