The background is that some of the bitter-enders supporting Rossi have set up a web-site. It's orange. Get it?
Since, sooner or later they will attempt to portray this effort as a genuine grass-roots affair, a little WHOIS searching and googling led to this diary. (below the fold.)
Washington's Orange Revolution
A spontaneous uprising of political consultant(s).

(Cue dream music, host scratches chin, camera dissolve into "imagination" sequence....)
Our focus group studies have found that orange is the best color because it reminds people of oranges. Plus there's that whole Ukraine thing, although teaching Republicans to sing revolutionary songs in Ukrainian is kind of tough. They think it's Russian and they get mad.
Who is leading this grass-roots uprising?

It's a Washington state political consultant named Sharon Gilpin. The Virginia address appears to be that of Network Solutions. Gilpin's consultant business lists a Bainbridge Island address.
She must have a lot of courage, like a street-fighter.
principal / sharon gilpin
Sharon Gilpin drives The Gilpin Group. Beginning her career as a Southern California political "street fighter", Sharon built on that grassroots experience to become a hands-on campaign manager for dozens of candidate and issue efforts.
I wonder what other clients she has (had?)
Rossi stops in Moses Lake as he awaits election results
Rossi's transition staff plans to continue tours after Christmas, said Sharon Gilpin, with the transition team.
To be fair, she is freely telling folks on right-wing blogs who she is: (did we know she's a "street fighter?")
ReVoteWA.com (redux)
I have been called a streetfighter by the LA Times - and this is a streetfight.
Feel free to check out our site. We put this up with OUR OWN DOUGH. We are soliciting donations - yes. Nobody is behind it in that sense of the word. The entire situation offends our sense of democracy....and we think this is the solution.
In the interest of disclosure - we did have a contract for 3 weeks with the Rossi Transition Team to plan communications strategy [first 100 days stuff]. But that was a couple of weeks ago. I reserved the URL on Christmas Day because I was deeply troubled that some in leadership would rather see this election 'go away'. (bold added)
Well, okay, since it was a couple of weeks ago, and this is a street-fight, and you reserved the URL on Christmas. I'm thinking of setting up an URL myself on MLK Day, because so far not ONE clerk has wished me Merry MLK Day.
