Hello, my college has spent an assload of money to get John McCain to speak at our school this Friday.
I'm going with a group of my friends. We are planning to bombard McCain with questions that would make any rethug squirm.
I am the one coming up with all the questions, and I wanted your advice.
So far these are the questions that I have:
1 Since Tony Blair and George Bush have both confirmed the authenticity of the Downing Street Memos which say that they are "fixing intelligence around the policy" of invading Iraq do you think it's fair for Bush to deam the majority of Americans unpatriotic for questioning his rational for war?
2 In the 2000 primaries, after your blistering defeat of George Bush in the New Hampshire primary do you still hold a grudge that supporters of Bush called South Carolina voters and said that one of your adopted children was really an illegitimate black child?
3 You are very admirable for attempt to pass anti-torture legislation, Dick Cheney is trying to stop your legislation in the house. Since torture is against international law do you think that Dick Cheney will eventually be tried for war crimes?
4 Among the administrations many rationales for war were Saddam's rape rooms, his torture of innocent civilians, and use of chemical weapons, the US has already admitted to torture, including rape, at the Abu Gharib prison and the use of chemical weapons on civilians. How do you feel that we are any different than Saddam?
5 How do you sleep at night?
6 At the moment 2 companies count 80% of our votes, ES&S and Diebold are owned by brothers that have both made heavy contributions to the election of George Bush. Do you worry that in 2008 you will lose republican primaries to a person that has deeper ties to this White House?
That's all I got and I think that these questions could definitely use some polishing, any help would be appreciated.
