The Institute for Public Opinion has a
new poll out reporting that 44 percent of voters plan to definitely vote against Bush. Only 38 percent said they would vote for 4 more years. Or is that 4 more wars? In any case. Hot damn.
This compares to numbers from April when Bush had a 10pt advantage in the for/against numbers. The new poll gives Bush an overall approval rating of 53%, down from 70% in the April poll.
This is one of several polls that put the re-elect numbers 10 points or more below the approval numbers. That makes me feel one heck of a lot better about those 50% approvals kicked out by Gallup, et. al.
On a night where the Republicans took my Old Kentucky Home, it's nice to see some good news.
