Why is everyone patting themselves on the back that we lost another close race to a batshit insane person, when a last minute statistical surge gives her the election. Remember people, in this country, the Repugs count the votes and they determine the outcome. When I last heard results, Hackett was down only six hundred votes, and then Schmidt somehow picks up an extra THIRTY-SIX hundred votes in the last few precincts, to win comfortably 52% to 48%. We need some statisticians on this right now!
Sounds like the same number that Kerry lost by in '04. Fishy? or is this where Rove the fixer starts his plausible deniability story. When you switch the vote around, then no questions are asked because the vote totals stay the same. Rove, you are such a genius, always geting two or three things out of one act. Schmidt wins and DKos feels good.
Two things mark all of Rove's statistical surges; their statistical improbability and the fact that it puts the Repug candidate far enough ahead so that it is outside the bounds of a recount. (Don't make the Repugs fly in Bolton) The most blatant example of statistical surges throughout the country in '04 was how Dino Rossi won the reliably Democratic county of Snohomish. (Another Rove move, accuse the other sideof what you are doing) Rossi screamed fraud and cheating in the WA gubernatorial race, but it was found in a statistical study that the Snohomish machines stole up some ten thousand votes for Rossi, in a late, statistically impossible move.
The other tip to this fraud is how in a virulently anti-tax area, how four measures approving taxes passed, and Schmidt got elected. That those numbers don't match is really fishy too.
