This is the second in my series where i share some of the smart, odd or esoteric things i stumble across on the internet (using the program stumble)
Given the worry about civility and civil discourse lately and also concern about the number of "you idiot" or "fuck offs" that have made up many diaries of late, i found the site Shakespearian Insults rather timely to come across. If you disagree, then
[Thou art] a fool, a coward, one all of luxury, an ass, a madman.

So lets take a look at this automatic insult generator, Shakespeare had cogent remarks for all situations.
Here are just a few. Go to the link and find your own favorites!
For the wingnuts who use religion as their prop:
[Thou] foul defacer of God's handiwork.
from Richard III
For Glen Beck or a Birther:
Thou unmuzzled reeling-ripe blind-worm!
Thou errant hell-hated barnacle!
For the Liars on HCR..especially the pols:
Thou artless brazen-faced vassal!
For the holier than thou, here and elsewhere:
Thou fusty earth-vexing popinjay!
One of my favorites for trolls:
You are as a candle, the better burnt out.
Taken from: Henry IV, part 2
So lets not continue using the same old tired insults of idiot, STFU or cursing, lets at least be creative in our responses and learn something at the same time :)
