I showed up for Congressman Polis' Town Hall event for about half an hour in Boulder this morning. It runs from 8 to 10:30 at Vics Coffee shop next door to the more famous Moe's Baegels.
There were 150 to 200 people in attendance, seamingly about 98% pro health care reform, it's a very liberal town. It was hard to see or hear the congressman as there were a lot of people crowded around the sidewalk. A couple of people spread out through the crowd attempted to interupt a little but they seem to so outnumbered that it didn't go over well.
On the way out I noticed a police officer who I talked to, he said he'd come specifically for the event in case of problems.
I've had reservations about some things Jared Polis has done of late regarding health care but I went simply to support in case there were very many of the nutty ones about.
Below a photo of the top of Congressman Polis' head. Hard to see.
