i would very much like to know why you people of faith feel you can push your particular religious beliefs, then feel disrespected by a simple declaration of "i don't believe"? why am i supposed to prostrate myself before your "faith"? why am i supposed to genuflect before your superior character & meekly back away?
i take my hat off when i enter a church or temple. when someone crosses himself, i don't scream "there is no god moron!" why should i be told "most of america believes in god - you are out of step with the nation." that line reveals way more about the believers than the agnostics. my disbelief is costing progressives political power?
question to roy moore & his fellow travelers: was it okay to lie, steal, cheat & murder before moses came down with the "word from on high"? are humans not capable of figuring out these things without divine assistance?
here's my deal & i think it is fair: you may apply snakes & blowtorches to your bodies, you may hold your arms over your head & talk in tongues, you may send your money off to rome or tulsa or anaheim, you may believe in the healing power of benny hinn or jim jones kool-aid or the green scapular - keep it to yourself & i will not comment on it. reference your issues to logic, reason & human experience. a sense of humor is a plus, as is good will - i believe we are capable of this without god's assistance. if you find that you need heavenly backup for your argument - expect me to call you on it.
