I was checking over at BlogforAmerica.com and I noticed that the amount of $$money$$ coming in seems to have slowed. You can check some of the entries and see that in the first 24 hours a total of $163,216 was raised. That's $6801 per hour.
Now, it's been another 20 hours or so, and it seems like the pace of donations has really slowed. Right now we're only at $241,201 which is only $3391 per hour, or $77,985 in the past day. That's less than half what was raised before?!
Is this a result of the Saddam capture taking the wind out of donator's sails, or is there some other explanation? Is it just that donating is slower on Sunday? Or, maybe, that donations come fastest during the first 24 hours that the bat is up?
If the first explanation holds then this might be a bad sign for the Dean campaign. Hopefully it's nothing though. So, anyone have any input?
Also, on a different matter, has the blog ever fallen short of meeting a bat goal?
