This is hilarious! A teacher conducted an exercise where he presented the issues of the two candidates running for President, without mentioning which one was which. Basically, Candidate A says this, Candidate B says this. In the end, the teacher asked the students which candidate they would vote for.
Now, as the article states, this school is located in heavy Bush country in Montana Minnesota, where Bush/Cheney posters are in massive display around the community, an area that will no doubt vote for Bush in a landslide.
The students voted for John Kerry by a near 7-to-1 ratio, much to their chagrin the article reports ("They booed the results of their vote. They were upset that they had voted for the 'wrong guy'.).
I guess the children can't tell a lie - while we do believe in the right and just principles that make us better people, we'd rather vote for the wrong guy. Why, I don't know.....maybe it's out of spite.

Update [2004-9-24 11:34:40 by gfactor]: I erred in naming the state Montana when it should have been Minnesota. My apologies, was quite a long day.
