The same witness who said that a "sharp dressed man" assisted would-be bomber Umar Farouk Abdul Mutallab board Flight 253 without a passport also claimed that the FBI arrested a second potential bomber on the ground after bomb sniffing dogs alerted on a bag inside the terminal.
Kurt Haskell, the attorney from Taylor, Michigan who witnessed the sharp dressed man along with his wife Lori, has posted his observations and comments on MLive.com.
This is a pretty powerful story. Haskell claims that the FBI and Customs are covering up the discovery of a second bomb and bomber.
Haskell says in his blog post:
Today is the second worst day of my life after 12-25-09. Today is the day that I realized that my own country is lying to me and all of my fellow Americans. Let me explain.
He then goes on to say that after the passengers were evacuated from the plane and brought to an area where they awaited the FBI to interview them. The police brought in bomb sniffing dogs to sniff the carry on bags that passengers were still holding.
One of the dogs activated on the bag of a "30 ish Indian man" and the man was taken into custody, and then eventually led out in handcuffs.
It might be possible that one of the dogs was a drug sniffing dog and they found drugs on the man. But the dogs cannot sniff both bombs or drugs. They can only do one or the other.
Besides Haskell says the FBI then told the passengers:
"You all are being moved to another area because this area is not safe. I am sure many of you saw what just happened.... and are smart enough to read between the lines and figure it out."
