MY ONLY CONCLUSIONS TO ALL OF THIS, NO MATTER HOW TWISTED ANYONE CHOOSES TO MAKE THIS DIARY ARE:
Haiti was mentioned because It started me looking at the fault line and that map started the string of research
I find it odd that there are 4.5 rated earthquakes and no one mentions them
I find it odd that there have been so many at the sites of the geothermal drilling sites
I find it odd that this is not common knowledge
Dxxxxx attributed it to the Haiti Earthquake
Dxxxxx read into my words and changed them
What is wrong here, I FOUND THE OCCURRENCE AND REOCCURRANCE OF EARTHQUAKE AFTER EARTHQUAKE SURROUNDING GEOTHERMAL DRILLING TO BE ODD
Moved original text to body of diary
I decided to look up the fault line that caused the Haiti Earthquake. I was not aware of any real fault lines outside the ring of fire. And I was bored I can't take that much television.
On one of the links I started 8 hours ago was a little blip of a new statement. The California Geothermal Project has shut down.
Being a true busy body I flipped over and got this :
Dec 2009
The project’s apparent collapse comes a day after Swiss government officials permanently shut down a similar project in Basel, because of the damaging earthquakes it produced in 2006 and 2007. Taken together, the two setbacks could change the direction of the Obama administration’s geothermal program, which had raised hopes that the earth’s bedrock could be quickly tapped as a clean and almost limitless energy source.
So now the hunt was on, Geothermal drilling causes Earthquakes? Why would that not be common knowledge?
Well apparently they did know, at least the corporate mucks who sought, and received millions of dollars to try this as an alternative energy source.
Geologist on trial in Basel; two EGS projects shuttered
It has been a tough month for enhanced geothermal: A geologist is on trial for earthquakes associated with a project in Basel, Switzerland, which has been shut down. A second high-profile project in California has also disbanded.

So I followed one more link:
this one makes me sick
Nevis’ Geothermal Energy Project and Caribbean Renewable Energy Options
Energy Minister Asim Martin said that the Nevis Island Administration would be provided with technical advice regarding the most appropriate and efficient use of its geothermal resources, evaluate all safety and environmental documents with regard to compliance with geothermal regulations, and review technical reports required by developers during project developments. Joseph Williams, the Program Manager for Energy at the Guyana-based CARICOM Secretariat, explained that this was one of the activities of the ) Program and that, while it was being executed by the CARICOM Secretariat, the funding was implemented through the United Nations Development Program.
Nevis’ goals are to enhance the development of renewable energy in the region and to lead the way by serving as an example for other territories that have geothermal resources. Dominica has also been at the forefront of geothermal energy projects and last year signed agreements with Guadeloupe and Martinique for sharing these resources. Guyana has been considering various renewable energy options, such as wind energy, hydroelectric power, and bio-fuel projects.

US Geotherm Projects
Who Are these guys? This is Green Development right, warm fuzzy tree huggers?
Oh Hell no
The largest group of geothermal power plants in the world is located at The Geysers, a geothermal field in California, United States.[3] As of 2004, five countries (El Salvador, Kenya, the Philippines, Iceland, and Costa Rica) generate more than 15% of their electricity from geothermal sources.[2]
Geothermal electric plants have until recently been built exclusively on the edges of tectonic plates where high temperature geothermal resources are available near the surface. The development of binary cycle power plants and improvements in drilling and extraction technology may enable enhanced geothermal systems over a much greater geographical range.[4] Demonstration projects are operational in Landau-Pfalz, Germany, and Soultz-sous-Forêts, France, while an earlier effort in Basel, Switzerland was shut down after it triggered earthquakes. Other demonstration projects are under construction in Australia, the United Kingdom, and the United States of America.[5]
