rserven’s quilt top
UPDATE: Message collection is now concluded so that we may begin making the quilt! Thank you all!
Kossack grndrush was diagnosed with a brain tumor. He has had surgery but the prognosis is not rosy. We’ve had a request for a quick turnaround on a “love catcher” quilt for him – and as it happens, an Anonymous Angel is covering the cost of this quilt up to sixty-five messages. We need at least forty-four – but I will not post a PayPal link for this quilt unless the number of messages surpasses sixty-five. Please leave a message in the comments below -- your words will touch grndrush very deeply.
A “love catcher” quilt is composed of supportive messages from you transcribed by me in archival ink on muslin and colorful fabrics that are meaningful to the recipient. They pack a punch – most recipients cry sweet tears when they get them because the love of a community comes through so powerfully. For someone who is sick or facing some other terrible life event, it really helps not to feel alone. Wrapped in a love catcher, people feel loved and supported..
