Hi,
I was born & raised on Kentucky basketball. My father actually helped build Rupp Arena. And our team is 18-0, people!!! (Sorry, had to brag a bit after the disastrous, embarrassing Billy G. era.)
But on to the real reason for the diary. UK Coach John Caliperi and the Kentucky Wildcats are hosting a Hoops for Haiti telethon -- look for it today at half-time of some basketball games and E-bay auction to raise money for the United Way & the Red Cross's Haiti relief efforts.
Here's your chance to have a private plane fly you to Cleveland to meet Lebron James and attend a Cav's play-off game. Have dinner with six of your friends at Coach Cal's house, along with UK's No. 1 fan Ashley Judd. Or appear on Coach Cal's TV show. Get a signed print of the big UK2K celebration at Rupp. Play 2-on-2 with UK greats Tony Delk and Scott Padgett.
They put this together quickly, and I believe more auction items will be added over the next few days. Basketball fans can see the Auction Items Here
Also, you can buy a Kentucky blue UK Hoops for Haiti T-shirt for $10, with proceeds going to the relief effort
Come on, basketball fans. Don't let yourselves be outdone by Kentucky!
Although... we have hit 2,000 wins! 1st ever to do that. Come on and just try to catch us. We're back, big-time!
Anybody going to the Sout Carolina game in Columbia? My husband and I will be there!!!!
