I read some of the diaries on this board and it seems as if Dems are their
own worst enemies. Republicans ALWAYS build up their guys even if he or
she is the pits.

We cant win if we help the opposition by cutting our own throats.

The media and Republicans can lie with straight face and never miss a
step. You saw how they built up that vacant lot Sarah Palin. They knew
then and know now that she is absolutely clueless about anything but
her own brand of conservatism.

You cant ask her a question about world events that she can answer with
any competency and what is more obvious is that she doesnt give a damn.
Just imagine her trying to talk to world leaders about economics or
terrorism or global warming. She would be totally out of her depth.

Does this worry Right Wingers. Hell no!!!!! They love her. The stupider
the better. They will back her to the death. Our death. They wouldnt
hesitate to but another incompetent in the White House. They still think
GW was the best president.

We cant be like that. We have to think of what is best for our nation and
our party. We shouldnt be attacking our candidates or members on anything
but the issues.

If we dont like the issues SAY SO. But stop with the physical attacks and
the stupid statements. You just give Republicans ammunition to destroy
Democratic candidates with.

I question some of the writers here. I worry if some are Republican PLANTS  PRETENDING to be Democrats. Their diaries are so caustic and
destructive to the the Democratic party.

We cant keep our majority or President if we dont HELP them by talking
them up. Protecting them from negative attacks. If our own families
were attacked we would come to their defense. We wouldnt sit back silently.

Its the same for our party's candidates and policies. I have faith in
President Obama. He will do what he says. I have faith in Martha
Coakley. She will help the President fulfill his promises.

Keep the faith. Dont talk down our candidates. Talk to WIN not to
give away our Victories.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.

I think the answer is for everyone to take a break from the sniping and reflect on the fundamentals of their political philosophy. I know there is a lot of divergence in worldview, but there is a core push to improve our world. I think we all share that.

I have no love for the DNC. In my view they have lost principals and are merely power hungry. But screw the leadership, the citizenry can and will keep moving forward, new elections are always coming up. Progress may be slow, but it does come.

As far as the threat from the right, I think everyone should watch the Palin/Beck interview. Besides making me want to throw large object through the TV screen, I was struck by just how little was there. Two self-involved egos with minuscule awareness taking turns stroking themselves. If this is the best of the right, then any defeats on the left are self inflicted. There are no Reagan's or Buckley's on the right any more, the intellectual leadership is Palin, Beck, Norris, Steele, etc. Not a heavyweight in the bunch.

Pressure your elected officials to do the right thing.

    That's my toot.

    •  Right Winger dont care. (0+ / 0-)

Republicans dont care if there is anything to their
candidates or not. THEY JUST WANT TO WIN.

      The hell with everything else.

They would vote for Satan or Hitler if they thought
      they could win.

Didnt Joe the Plumber become their savior. A guy who
wasnt even a plumber. A tax dodger and didnt even
have a clue about world events on top,

My God, havent you been noticing who they hold up
as their spokespersons and leader? WHAT MORE DO

  •  I think we are seeing 2 important things now.... (0+ / 0-)

1- The Media is right center leaning (other than Fox) and have support, opinion and a Rethug on 24/7 to support their non positions with VERY LITTLE TO NO DEMORACTIC balance......

2- Democrats are some of the most disorganized and weakneed individuals to have power in modern history. In the face of an almost Depression caused by the same crowd trying to take power back by DOING NOTHING the Dems are working hard to either hand power back to them or do their bidding.....

What a oddity we are seeing, it makes no sense but this is real, man.

  •  thanks tipped and rec'ed (0+ / 0-)

Every time I hear someone bash a dem...of course you are always welcome to...I think every day is a good day that I can say President Barack Hussein Obama.

Every day I can say that (we are not bombing Iran, Yemen, Nigeria, N. Korea and not giving more tax cuts to the rich by stealing social security) is a good day.

Remember we have Palin/Romney 2012 to look forward to.

I think we have to get in touch with our inner populist. We need slogans too.

  •  I am with you (0+ / 0-)

The way I see it, we have a clear choice, seize the day or lose it. Say this outloud: "President Huckabee." Kind of has a ring to it, doesn't it? Like the crack of freakin' doom. It could happen, if we lay down.
And the campaign slogan of 2008 was not "Yes, I can." I've been proud as hell of us in the Coakley campaign. That's what we need to keep doing. Let's not lose heart.
