Who wants to be the new Joe Wilson? Is there any way that all the House and Senate rethugs resist the siren call? I doubt it.
President Obama needs to rope-a-dope one of them into handing him the opportunity to explain why bipartisanship is a joke.
When Joe Wilson shouted "you lie" at President Obama's Health Care address to the joint session, he became a hero to the right and helped fuel the no-nothing craziness of the current tea bag climate.
The President was unprepared for this attack, but this time he needs to be ready. In fact, he needs to goad someone into taking the bait. No one is more rhetorically prepared to turn something like this into a perfect metaphor to frame how Republican obstructionism, fear-mongering, manipulation and lies have failed the American people's agenda.
This would also be the perfect opportunity to tie in how the Supreme Court Citizens United ruling will further limit the ability to provide the Change You Can Believe in.
So what are the best themes to use in response to this kind of opportunity?
