This evening I offer you another installment in a series of photo diversion diaries. You probably know the drill by now. These photos were all taken this weekend on the island of Oahu. I hope you enjoy your visit here.
North Shore Sunset
I should probably get the duck porn out of the way huh....
I was taking photos of birds this morning at Hamakua Marsh in Kailua when I observed this moment of mallard passion.
I have to say that the drake was not exactly gentle with his mate.
He seemed pretty proud of himself afterwards.
She had a good flap.
Black-Crowned Night Heron
Infrared Bamboo
Pipeline
Night Heron with fish
Wave
Some people were throwing bread to the ducks (heavily discouraged by the DLNR biologists) when this Hawai'ian Moorhen and Black-Crowned Night Heron got into it.
Don't mess with a Moorhen, especially near its chicks.
We have a winner.
This is one of the precious darlings the moorhen was defending. Cute?
Pipeline can get crowded. Very crowded.
A thick one
Yeah.. footprints in the damn sand
Late afternoon. See that wave off the right hand side of the frame. The whitewater soaked me so I relocated to a safer, drier spot.
Sunset at Rockpiles
Infrared Palms
I will leave things here. I hope you have enjoyed your visit here. As always feel free to post your photos here and please be good humans.
Aloha
If you have a problem with this diary I refer you to the Complaint Department. I have to warn you....
