Hello
Sorry for the Caps-Lock, but this is just brilliant. The phrase 'You can't make this shit up', should be outlawed, because clearly there's no shit Wingnuts can't make up.
First, short background. It's been confirmed that Hakimullah Mahsud, one of the biggest creeps in the Taliban/Al Qaeda alliance was killed last month by U.S. drone missile strike, an attack that forces them to find a new leader for the second time in six months.
The death of Mahsud, engineer of a devastating series of suicide attacks and raids on markets, mosques and security installations across Pakistan in the latter half of 2009, gives the U.S. another major victory in its ongoing campaign of drone missile strikes against top Taliban and Al Qaeda leaders.
A drone strike last August killed Mahsud's predecessor, Baitullah Mahsud. Missiles fired by drones over Pakistan's tribal areas along the Afghan border have also killed 15 senior Al Qaeda commanders since 2004.
This is really only the latest in a long series of bad guys who were eliminated over the past year. Since "National Security" is the only Right-Wing "expertise" the American people still seem to be ready to buy - They find themselves in a very awkward position. Because as it turned out, that Black-Kenyan-Born-Muslim-Weak-and-Naive is one tough bastard.
So they looked for a new stupid talking point, and started to whine about Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab being read his rights. But that's been explode in their face too, because lo-and-behold, the biggest breakthrough in the investigation came AFTER Abdulmutallab was read his rights. So there goes another dumb talking point.
But have no fear, my friends, you will never ever be able to out-stupid Wingnuts, because now, the new show in their circus is titled: Is Barack Obama killing too many terrorists too fast?
Explanation? Here you go:
Obama is increasingly using drone strikes as a substitute for operations to bring terrorist leaders in alive for questioning -- and that is putting the country at risk..
Try read the whole thing if you have the stomach. Sigh. Back to John Brennan's excellent USA Today article: 'We need no lectures':
This administration's efforts have disrupted dozens of terrorist plots against the homeland and been responsible for killing and capturing hundreds of hard-core terrorists, including senior leaders in Pakistan, Yemen, Somalia and beyond — far more than in 2008. We need no lectures about the fact that this nation is at war.
Politically motivated criticism and unfounded fear-mongering only serve the goals of al-Qaeda. Terrorists are not 100-feet tall. Nor do they deserve the abject fear they seek to instill. They will, however, be dismantled and destroyed, by our military, our intelligence services and our law enforcement community. And the notion that America's counterterrorism professionals and America's system of justice are unable to handle these murderous miscreants is absurd.

It's a grim statistical reality, that president Obama may have to deal with a terror attack on his shift. But the fact is, that he is far-far more effective in fighting against the odds than the Cheney administration, who had nothing but fear and a knowledge how to monger with it. Obama is doing the job quietly, methodically, without bragging, and more importantly, without forcing the country to live on the edge of nervous breakdown 24/7. and what's really must make RW heads explode is that:
President Obama isn't nearly as scared of the terrorists as Bush, and that's why he'll beat them.
