So I got this message from Jack Kingston (R GA-01) last week, asking for help "to form a new agenda for America's future". Maybe he's tired of "Get married and work longer hours!" as policy prescriptions.
Hey, I finally met Jack the other week, and had a nice conversation about local history with him (yes, my great-aunt told me about the elephant). And he represents the entire First Congressional District of Georgia, even those of us who didn't vote for him. So let's help him out!
Whaddya think?
Single-payer health care?
End Don't Ask Don't Tell?
Try the war criminals Cheney and Bush!
Kucinich and Grayson for President and Vice President?
OK, maybe not get too carried away; he is a Republican.
Here's the text of Jack's letter:
Dear Friend:
Will you work with me to form a new agenda for America’s future?
It is my goal to bypass the Washington establishment insiders, the pollsters and the know-it-all pundits to go directly to the people. I would like to take your ideas and those of thousands of other people to form a grassroots platform.
Joining me in this effort are 7 other congressmen who are fed up with the status quo. It is our hope to enlist hundreds of other congressmen to make this a huge effort.
For now I’d like your ideas. This will start like a conversation between two friends sitting down with a note pad to make a "To-Do" list.

Sincerely,
Jack Kingston
Member of Congress
P.S. Please consider forwarding this email to your family and friends. To be effective, we need to engage as many people in the discussion as possible.
So I'm forwarding it to my dailykos friends....
Do what you do so well!
Take the poll, but don't forget to actually send Jack your suggestions!
