Gee... I wonder why people aren’t spending when they’re either out of work or about to have their asses laid off.
From Bloomberg:
"Confidence among U.S. consumers fell in February to the lowest level in 10 months, a sign that concern about job prospects may hold back the spending needed to sustain the recovery."
Sustain the recovery? Oh, you didn’t get that memo?; we’re in a RECOVERY now. Tell that to the 20% out of work and all the vacant stores in towns across America. Tell that to the poor suckers that dial 911 and get charged $300 bucks.
Funny how the corporate media propaganda machine that took three years to tell us we were in a "recession" is falling all over itself to proclaim we’re in a "recovery."
Recovery my ass, and the American people know it. Want consumer spending? Stop bailing out billionaire bankers and start bailing out the American ex-worker.
