For the past few years, I've been following a number of conservative websites. I've been banned & blocked many times for raising a liberal viewpoint. I would like an opinion or two from those who approve or disapprove of this practice.
I enjoy pushing a few buttons. A heated debate allows people to learn something from each other or does it? Like a moth to a flame, I'm attracted to some of these conservative sites to "mix it up" with the bloggers/pundits/admins. I find going toe to toe with someone I saw on a FauxNews program intriguing to a certain degree. Once you make a decent point and show either the hypocrisy, lies, half-truths, or omissions in their reporting- they ban you.
For a bunch of freedom of speech conservatives to censor a viewpoint is alarming or is it? I'd like to know- should I continue to poke at them or not? It's quite easy to create another account and use a new username(sockpuppet), I understand the flip side to this argument. They can do the same with opposing sites. the only thing I seeing are the lies outnumber the truths on their sites. With such a huge amount of evidence to crush their arguments, I often wonder how these people can continue to argue with so many lies.
There are many examples, one is standing out. The Acorn-O'Keefe prostitute scandal Breitbart so willingly propagated through the Main Stream Media shows the damage one can do with a hoax. Congress cut funding, people were vilified. This lie should be considered criminal. As for me, I'm going to open some new sockpuppet accounts and skewer the rightwing nutters.
(This being my first diary, please pardon any mistakes in my presentation.)
