You might have seen the headlines about the UT House majority leader getting into a hot tub naked with a 15 year old girl 25 years ago.

He also paid $150,000 in 2002 in exchange for a signature on a confidentiality agreement. He should have got a stupid sign for the first event. Then after the second event he should have tattooed stupid on his forehead. But that is what gets me going.
More after the jump.
No what gets me going is after his "tearful" confession on the floor, his Utah republican colleagues gave him a standing ovation and embraced him! So let’s get the facts straight, the majority leader admits to a sex crime with a minor, who was also his employee, admits to paying hush money and the republicans embrace him for his bravery! I said republicans because hopefully the few democrats in the chamber were as outraged as I am. Our governor has said that he won’t call for the majority leader’s resignation. I’m not calling for his resignation; I’m calling his office to ask him to do the honorable thing. Also a LDS bishop knew of the crime in 2002 and didn’t report it.
The comments on the Tribune’s web site are mixed mostly about who cares what happened in 1985, to hypocrisy of one of the leaders for "ethics" reform admits to a crime. There is also calls to charge the woman involved with bribery and income tax evasion. I took a quick trip to Redstate to see if anything was up over there, nada. Although there was an interesting post "Again,When will politicians understand their bounds" about NY state and salt in food.
I just had to vent, I’m glad I’m moving to Arizona later this year.
