My congressman, Steve Driehaus, an anti-abortion Democrat, voted for HCR in the House last November, and has been undecided on how he is going to vote on the senate bill. At least until now. According to this article, Driehaus has announced through an aide that he will vote against the bill.

I called and emailed Rep. Driehaus's office yesterday, and now I feel like I pretty much wasted my time.
This is pretty disappointing, and also pretty dumb. Regardless of how he votes, Driehaus has little chance of winning this year. The latest poll I saw has him down by over 10 points against former Rep. Steve Chabot, who Driehaus defeated in 2008, thanks to the large turn out of minorities in the district that year.
That kind of turn out is unlikely this year, especially if HCR fails. If Driehaus thinks that voting against this bill will help him, he's delusional. He voted for the House bill in November, and that's all the right-wing voters of this district need to know. He should do the right thing and just vote for the senate bill.
I hope we can still get this bill passed without him.
