Apparently your complaints to CNN have hit a nerve over at RedState, who claim that you have been unkind to everyone's favorite fermenting lump of dough, Erick.
Now the short-bus Aaryans claim that you are all conspiring to destroy them rather than engage in the kind of honest debate that would move the country forward, unlike the halcyon Era of Good Feelings back in 2002.
They forget that the favorite words on RedState were "hanging" and "rope," and it seemed like they had some sort of fetish. The site is still thick with calls for domestic terrorism, secession, civil war, and elaborate violent fantasies about violence against their neighbors who don't toe their political line. And it is simply inexcusable that you have been calling CNN to point this out
Of course, this is supposedly your fault. This is the classic sadist/authoritarian "Daddy only drinks because you cry" excuse.
left side of the blogosphere sees it as its role not to debate conservative bloggers and pundits, but to destroy us and preclude us from being heard.
Many of us have had RedState accounts and were immediately banned for pointing the daily hatred circlejerk is based on some hoax already debunked by Snopes. How can you "debate" people who exclude anyone that does not live full time in their tiny fishbowl of myth, hoax, propaganda, urban legends, and lies?
Of course this is a conspiracy:
Nobody on our side of the aisle should be under any illusion about the depths of personal enmity harbored towards us by the left blogs, nor the fact that they will spare no effort to go after us personally. These are not good people, they are not our friends, and they mean us harm.
This coming from people that promote domestic terrorism and literal violence against people they disagree with? Straight off, you see classic fascist paranoia (they will spare no effort to go after us personally) where anything they do is merely self defense against their imaginary enemies.
Online Left as people: dissatisfied with the existing order of society, often childless and thus with more time on their hands and fewer checks on perpetual immaturity, apt to treat the personal as political and the political as personal, and frequently irreligious and tending to put politics in the place where others put religion. Perhaps the influence of Markos Moulitsas as the leading figure in the left-wing blogosphere could be blamed as well, although I regard the explosive growth of Daily Kos more as a symptom than the underlying cause.
Let me summarize the rest:
The success of the left wing blogosphere, and some people making a living after starting at liberal blogs is the result of:
- A conspiracy hatched by George Soros.
- Their political success just means they've sold out compared to the integrity of the Keyboard Commandos.
- Taking down Boxturtle Ben at the WaPo deprived the paper of much need balance at the relentlessly liberal rag. (you see what I mean about them living in fantasy world?)
- Stop picking on the Cheneys because it is so unfair.
- Conservatives are nicer because they swear less
Anyway, I'm sure the comments are pretty good. There's the masculinity challenged comments of course.

Like Moulitsas and that kid at WaPo is something I hadn’t given much thought to. If you think about it, that really does give them a leg up in the blogging world.
Really? Doughy EricK is an alpha dog? Breitbart, who always looks like he's about to vomit from an anxiety attack is alpha? Boxturtle? Jonah-don't-step-on-my-umbilical-cord-Goldberg? Glenn "Crybaby" Beck? Drudge? - let's not even go there.
There's no reason to give the libs any quarter

No mercy should be the rule.
Why? They don’t deserve it. They routinely call us names while hypocritically calling for less partisanship. They claim to want a post-racial society while simultaneously playing the race card for all it’s worth.
Time to stop pussyfooting around these people, They don’t operate on the same ruleset we do. They don’t mind lying, spinning and personal attacks if it advances the cause. Anything goes if it justifies their end game.
The hell with all of them, The new rule should be no mercy, and no quarter. You can’t expect civil behavior from them, so there’s no reason to give these people any in return.
Call you names? And for that you want to go full what exactly? Oh hell, let's just see how "Nazi" fits these clowns?
I really, really hate these people

Until the Iraq War started I considered them a nuisance. Since March 2003 it has become blatantly obvious that they are loathsome excuses for humans. They celebrated the deaths of our troops for 5 years. They’ve crapped on every principle this country was founded on.
I just really hate them.
Nice! You got your dehumanization (loathsome excuses for humans) which is a prerequisite for violence against political opponents. And you've got the classic Nazi dolchstosslegende stabbing-the-troops-in-the-back theme similar to Hitler's "Causes of the Collapse"
Should we be?

If we are in a fight for our country, and - in the case of Healthcare - for our very lives, should we be so civil? We are armed with the Constitution, its timeless truth, and our convictions. But, shouldn’t we fight fire with fire?
Yep, existential threat. You know, I'm just too damned lazy to pull out my copy of Mein Kampf to quote Hitler about the constant use of the "existential threat to our lives" style of propaganda. And don't forget to claim that's being "more civil" than your bestial opponents.
I think not

I think in the future we have to go after these people on a very personal level.
You see what I mean? They are good, you are evil, and they need to go after you on a very personal level. Little brownshirt wannabees with dark fantasies.
And then there are some that we just have to lump into New World Order conspiracy. Umberto Eco's essay on Fascism pointed out the constant duality of Fascism's claims that on the one hand they are an overwhelming force ("We Surround Them") but they are held back by a pervasive yet invisible conspiracy. For Hitler it was the global Jewish conspiracy and "liberal media" plan to enslave everyone.
Big difference

This is private property that the people whom own it and run it don’t have to give you a forum. The stuff that the far-left is doing and has always done, is make sure voices from the conservative side cannot be heard on what should be public airwaves,
See? Is this person "sane?" That's a deep question

As a member of my own family is a left-wing true believer and even quit working to campaign closely with Hillary (they are friends), I know if Hill had won, a priority was the "Fairness Doctrine" and shutting up Rush and Hannity.
But why doesn’t the right have the funding of the left?
Holy crap! The right lacks funding? Big business is dominated by the left?
We have a president - not some Democratic operative, a President - who’s running the Saul Alinsky playbook on his political opponents
Oh yeah, Saul Alinsky, which these guys just love to say. It's so Jewish. Him and Soros, the Jews pulling the strings.
Saul Alinsky

See?
I can't classify this because I have absolutely no idea what it means

than the left. I agree with Streiff, this has become personal. They are bullies who have put us on the defensive too long. As an old basketball coach, I learned that a team that presses, hates to be pressed themselves. More often than not, they are truly surprised when their own strategy is used against them.
UPDATE
The subtitle of the RedState diary is Why They Hate Erick, so I went back to see their explaination of why you hate Erick, because, you know, the subject of one's essay should relate to the subject, especially when you seem to be saying up front what you plan to say. But, no such luck. The diary is just the standard straw man and ad hominem attacks, but nothing really about Erick or what supposedly makes him so loathsome. But if I were writing that piece, I would have said that Erick is an abysmal writer of turgid nonsense and cliches, and that his personal appearance of smirking lethargic lumpy softness fits our stereotypes of deeply inadequate keyboard commando posers.
