My claim is above, my evidence is below.
Glenn Beck has consistently shown racist tendencies. We have seen him attack successful African-Americans such as Van Jones and Mark Lloyd (and Barack Obama, etc.) and we have seen his small mask peel away every now and then (like when he characterizes the "Obama army" as poor uneducated blacks). Yet, is he just acting to get his multi-million dollar paycheck or is he truly a bigot? As I have stated in the title, he is in fact an actual racist.
Consider when he talks about his family (in particular his "democrat" father). Now try to follow along with this train of thought: His father (an "F.D.R. democrat") was a loyal democrat while G. Beck was growing up. However, he has also mentioned how his father fell out with the Democratic party eventually. Now when you take the points where he says such a thing (such as at the beginning of his march 24th program) and look for any similaries, you quickly see when his father's falling out happened. His father grew to despise the Democratic party around the L.B.J.-Nixon time period. Now, what was the big thing that happened around that time, something that transformed the Democratic party? Do you see it? His father's falling out, according to G. Beck (and especially highlighted in his opening monologue on his march 24th program), happened as the Democrats passed the Civil Rights Act. By his own admission, his father started disliking his political party after it gave African-Americans the right to vote.
Likewise, he has actually argued that the 3/5s clause was a good thing. Lets also remember that he has constantly railed against the progressive era, which helped improve the lives of minorities and woman (with women's suffrage being a major achievement).
I am sure it is entirely coincidental though that he constantly race-baits (including against "illegals", people "enslaved" by the government, Muslims, etc.)
For specific quotes just look at his transcripts for the last week, especially his march 24th show. I would also encourage transcript readers to put them into word clouds to see this "intellectual" in action.
