Listening to Senator Coburn this morning was enough to turn my stomach.
This economist would never presume to give Senator Coburn medical advice.
So why does this obstructionist know-it-all blowhard think he knows better than those of us who spend their lives studying economics and finance?
In my experience, many doctors are amongst first to invest in swamp land in Florida, 200mpg carburettors and unregulated weight loss products. Not the smartest investors.
Once again, Dr. No has prevented the Senate from doing it's job for another 2 weeks based on some spurious argument that any first year economics student can see through. He seems to miss this simple economic ladder: "No job->no money->no unemployment check->no food->death."
It's even more ironic, looking at the folks demonstrating this past week, that many of the teabaggers look as though they rely on their unemployment checks.
At what point in the next few months will the GOP realize that they have become nothing more than spokespersons for a rapacious, greedy Australian tycoon who cares nothing about American politics but only about his bottom line?
Senator Coburn, do the job you're paid to do.
