It seems like after passage of the healthcare bill, Obama has loosened up and is showing his fighting side. Cases in point:
- Telling the "repealers" to "Go for it!" I love the simplicity of that challenge. It's got this underlying "eff you" about it.
- Candid photos of Obama released on Flickr showing the President in at least three boxing poses
- Then there this.
What does it all mean?
I don't effing know. It just seems like Obama feels like he can be a little bolder in taking on the right-wing nuts after healthcare and that maybe, just maybe, bipartisanship for bipartsanship's sake will be tossed aside once and for all.
We'll talk to the people who want to talk. But no more cajoling, begging nor high-minded tolerance of their BS.
The right considers itself at war with any Democratic President, especially a black man, and considers Obama's term just the time to brew up BS scandals to take him down. That's it.
So I'm happy to see you come out from under the bipartisan covers, Mr. President. We all knew you're a tough guy. You just have to understand they look at diplomacy and negotiation as weakness and nothing less. Putin is apparently easier to deal with on nuclear weapons than Republicans on mediocre healthcare reform.
And BTW, when the insurance companies start denying children with pre-existing conditions due to some loophole their well-paid lawyers have found, maybe then you'll take that new-found fighting attitude to corporations as well.
America isn't its corporations. And the corporations don't give a fuck about America. America is us. And we're glad the real Obama is finally fired up, ready to go!
