The Republicans are in real trouble if they are counting on a huge result in November 2010 to benefit them. My sincere concern is what do the Republicans do when they do not win November.
The radical element of the Republican party (i.e. teabaggers)is barely held in check now (we all know the numerous stories of threats to members of congress), what happens when they learn in November 2010 they are not that popular?
Right now teabaggers appear to really believe they are going to take over the House and possibly the Senate. If they lose at the polls and have to face the true reality that they are a small minority of racists, homophobes and haters I hope they remain peaceful. These teabaggers have a crazy element and when they have to face reality I hope they take it well.
But, I do have to wonder if maybe they do take over the house? I don't follow each race close enough, but I hope they are not gaining enough to actually win in November 2010.
Clinton won in 1992 with only 42% of the vote (3 way race with Perot/Clinton/Bush). Obama won 54% of the vote and I hope his support stays strong. I just cannot see the People putting Republicans back in so fast. It appears to only be republicans who are talking about November as benefiting them. What are Democrats saying about their chances in November?
