I'm getting tired of hearing how "inappropriate" Obama is from people who live in glass houses.
Obama dared Republicans to try to repeal the new health reform law. "If they want to have that fight, I welcome that fight," Obama said. "My attitude? Go for it."
[Senator Scott] Brown told "GMA" the president's rhetoric is "inappropriate."
Would it be inappropriate for me to point out that's ironic coming from a freshman senator who told America both his daughters are "available" at his victory speech? When did guys who pose nude because they needed the money become arbiters of appropriate behavior? You want to see something really inappropriate (note the lack of quotes), what about this:
Palin's message to conservatives is not to retreat, but to "reload," she said in a twitter message. Her Facebook page even puts 17 Democrats -- literally -- in the crosshairs.
I don't know why GMA felt they needed to put quotes around reload. Palin didn't.
I could go through a whole litany of inappropriate comments made by Republicants without even breaking a sweat.
I could show videos of Republicans shouting at the president while he delivered a State of the Union Address.
I could show videos of Republican presidential candidate McCain offering to put his wife in a topless beauty contest at a biker rally.
I could show videos of teabaggers shouting racial epithets and mocking disabled people.
I could show photos of Republican representatives cheerfully encouraging admiring crowds while people a few feet away sport signs equating Obama to Hitler.
I could show emails from Republicans comparing Obama to a witch doctor.
I could show FOX News giving Glenn Beck a platform and treating him as if he was sane.
I could show videos of people with guns attending rallies denouncing the president.
I could show Senators who lied about health care reform to scare seniors. Then add insult to injury by showing the same senators claiming credit for the benefits of the bill.
I could show videos of Republicans declaring themselves right-wing terrorists and getting applause.
I could show videos of Republicans comparing Michelle Obama to a chimpanzee.
I could show videos of Republican celebrity speakers mocking Muslims and Arabs and getting applause.
I could go on, but you get the point.
Here's one thing I could never find. I could never find evidence of any of these hateful cheerleaders applauding someone who dared to criticize an American Commander in Chief like Dubya during a time of war. They'd never do that -- because they know that would be inappropriate.
