President Obama went into office with an idea that he could actually reform the national swamp we call our nations capitol, Washington DC. That he would foster national cooperation to uplift the entire nation, what he forgot was the Neocons and Republicans that decided already that they were not going to play "nice". They had already decided to just say "NO", as Jim Demint R from South Carolina has done ever since he was elected to office.
Other like Charles Grassley, Olympia Snowe and some others expressed interests in working together publicly on the health care reform until late summer when Chuck Grassley went on his "pull the plug on grandma" tour and that ended the gang of six and bi-partisianship. Yes, President Obama did get his bill thru Congress and then got a 60 vote bill out of the Senate, but then Senator Kennedy died and well Martha Coakley campaigned like a dead fish, and Scott Brown was elected as he claimed to be the 41st vote against HCR, the problem is his vote never counted, they did not need a new bill thru the senate.
All they had to do was to get the House to accept the already 60 vote approved Senate Bill which they did last week, and then used a little known rule to wrote the changes both houses could live with reconciliation, the little version, not the "nuclear option" that the Republicans were screaming about, just some simple fixes that would normally have been done in the "conference" that is normally done to make the 2 bodies get a law they both can pass.
Then this week end President Obama used his power to make recess appointments to fill open federal jobs that need the Senates "advise and consent rule" but when it is not doing the advise and consent and just sit on the names, Presidents long before President Obama have used this power to fill the position, which stands until this Congress ends.
Then he can either nominate the people again or eventually if needed make new recess appointments, that depends on the republicans, like they say elections have consequences and Obama won, and he is entitled to the people he wants, just as President Bush wanted John Bolton at the UN and he got him under a recess appointment. So lets see President Bush made 171 recess appointments, President Obama has made 15, so he has 156 more before he even equals President Bush's use of Presidential power.
So to listen to Senator Demint whine about President Obama abusing the rules is laughable:

I have no use my my state senator Jim Demint my disgust for him is only outwieghed by my dislike for Joe "You Lie" Wilson. They both need to be "retired" in November. I am afraid Demint is trying to set himself up a run in 2012 against President Obama as the "true conservative" and he could seriously damage the United States even more than Dick Cheney tried to do.
UPDATE: Interesting site see what it loads a joint venture?
Rubio and DeMint have established a joint committee, "Friends of DeMint and Rubio," to collect money in tandem. "Marco has been honored by Sen. DeMint's support and welcomes his assistance in raising the resources needed to communicate his limited government message throughout Florida," campaign spokesman Alex Burgos wrote in an email.
Coming off his star turn at CPAC last week, Rubio's plans to visit an early presidential primary state don't look good. "Anything such as this which lends appearance that Marco is already looking past not only the August primary, but the November election, is not a good place for him to be politically," a Republican strategist told Morning Score. "Oftentimes some forget that while Jim DeMint may have a small universe of followers who read RedState, the reality is that the vast majority of Americans, including in Florida, don't have the slightest idea who Jim DeMint is."
