Regardless of what this bastard says, this is purely political, cheered on by Mitch Daniels.
But here is what he said:
"As far as we can determine never before have individuals been required to buy insurance as a condition of being alive," said Bryan Corbin, Zoeller spokesman. "This is not like car insurance where it’s a privilege to drive."
And sure, there are definitely things I don't like, one being a mandate without a Public Option or a Medicare Buy-in. Along those lines, we have had a mandate to buy insurance for over 40 years, it's called Medicare. The Health Insurance Industry is an interstate business, so unless they find some crazy wingnut Judge, which may not be to hard on the lower court levels, they don't have a leg to stand on.
Politically, though, I agree with President Obama and the Democrats when they say "Yo wingnuts, bring it on".
"If the Republicans want to make November all about the repeal of this bill, I don't quote George Bush very often, but 'bring it on,' " said Rep. Chris Van Hollen, chairman of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.
Short Diary today. Sorry, I am at work so I can't really answer comments until lunch. I did a search to see if someone else reported this and didn't find anything, sorry if someone has.
Just another case of Wingnuts Gone Wild.
